Where to be "Scene"...

So, I have been trawling around the streets of Leeds and a little tapping on the t'interweb to round up some of the places to be seen over the next couple of months and grab yourself a steal...in other words, here's a round up of the best Vintage Fairs and Clothes Exchanges happenin' near you. I've also thrown in a few odd balls if you can travel further afield and a few Non-Vintage type events for you Designer beavers out there...follow me (& don't forget your handbag!)...xx

Watch out for any minor celebs a'mincing...last time I spotted Gaynor Faye (of Corrie/Fat Friends/Dancing on Ice fame)

SATURDAY 27 MARCH 2010 ~ THE ANGELS VINTAGE FAIR2 12-5pm FREE!
Includes "The Swap Shop" too - a real treat if you've ever been to one before...swap old for new and saving the environment at the same time!

...next one...SATURDAY 24 APRIL 2010 (the last Saturday of every month = ADDICTIVE!)


SATURDAY 24 APRIL 2010 ~ COMPETITIVE CUPCAKES 3pm-6pm FREE for bakers, £4 for judges (bargain if you want to overload yourself on yummy cakes like Brucie in Matilda!)
Includes a very small Clothes Exchange - all clothes must be dropped off at The Faversham in advance in exchange for vouchers (If you went to this on Sat 20 Feb you will remember how hectic it was...think the girls are trying to iron out the creases this time and you only get as much as you bring - raid that wardrobe!)

Don't forget to haggle at this one, for a bargain...there are usually many Vintage traders here so make sure you barter and grab yourself a bargain!

One for the students this one...well, not really but it is within the Uni vicinity...there's usually someone or 3! poking around with a camera so dress for the occasion! Also, if your not sure on the exact locations...ask someone as last time I wasted valuable clothes trifling by traipsing the streets of nr Hyde Park (not highly recommended!)

SATURDAY 29 MAY & SUNDAY 30 MAY ~ ST GEMMA'S HOSPICE RETRO VINTAGE FAIR 10am-4pm DONATIONS WELCOME (Dig deep!)
This is seriously one of the best Vintage fairs around for rarities and bargains...lots to choose from. A real good selection of home ware & furniture too as well as scarves and brooches a'plenty...plus books & LP's & camera's & retro toys...the list is endless...just get yourself there!
St Gemma's Conference Centre, Harrogate Road, Moortown, Leeds (just get the number 2 bus up from town and get off at Moortown Corner...simples!)
